A three-day press tour for foreign journalists organized by the Information and Press Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation was held in the Mari El Republic.

Foreign mass media representatives accredited by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation – Nhu Anh Tu, chief correspondent of Radio Voice of Vietnam (Vietnam), Yao Song, correspondent of China Central Television (China), Christian Eloy Torres Mino, correspondent, and Vadim Ilyin, operator, of Press TV Channel (Iran), Sergey Petrosov, editor-in-chief of the Internet portal «Belgian Federation of the Russian-speaking Organizations», chairman of the Media Alliance of Russian Communities (Belgium) – visited the Mari El Republic. Yuri Pichugin, first secretary of the Information and Press Department of the Russian Foreign Ministry, accompanied the delegation.

The program of the press tour was rich. Foreign journalists got acquainted with the socio-economic and cultural-historical aspects of the Mari El Republic, met with Head of the Mari El Republic Alexander Evstifeev, visited industrial, educational, sports grounds and all theaters of Yoshkar-Ola, cultural objects of Kozmodemyansk and a number of cultural events, got acquainted with the culture of the Mari people.
