The XVI International Festival of Russian theatres of national republics of Russia and foreign countries was opened at the Academic Russian Drama Theatre named after G. Konstantinov in Yoshkar-Ola.
Minister of Culture, Press and Ethnic Affairs of the Mari El Republic Konstantin Ivanov took part in the opening ceremony of the festival.
11 creative teams from the regions of Russia, Abkhazia, and Ukraine will take part in the festival.
The festival will last until December, 1.
