The Day of Hungarian Cinema was held in the Mari El Republic. Hungarian films were presented in cinemas of 3 cities (Yoshkar-Ola, Kozmodemyansk, and Volzhsk) concurrently.

Consul of the Consulate General of Hungary in Kazan Laszlo Daroczi, Deputy Minister of Culture, Press and Ethnic Affairs of the Mari El Republic Galina Shiryaeva, and third secretary of the Representation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in Yoshkar-Ola Andrey Utyatin took part in the opening ceremony of the Day of Hungarian Cinema in Yoshkar-Ola.
